The hats I wear:
I am a mom to two busy sons, a five year old and a 2 month old! They are so loved!!! My parents and extended family don’t live close so when my oldest was 6 months old, I got involved in a local mom’s group. I feel so lucky to be part of it. Out of this group came friendships with some pretty amazing moms and they are my savior on a daily basis! They are like my fellow flowers of a different variety! On my days off from being a mom, I am a nurse. I work in a super busy ICU which barely lends a bathroom break each shift. I am exhausted each day and am so thankful for it!
What makes your heart pound?
That second K-cup in the morning that no one should ever have!
What gets you up in the morning? What keeps you up at night?
My baby gets me up in the morning, and come to think of it, keeps me up at night too! Lucky for me though when I do get to fall back asleep a cute little 5 year old is happy to take over where his brother left off!
What’s your guilty pleasure?
A great bottle of red!
What do you say to the woman who says she doesn’t think she can run?
Couch Potato To 5K. I did it, and 12 weeks later I ran a half marathon!
What running shoe are you most loyal to?
Asics Gel Kayano. Switched once and will never do it again!
What’s your go-to flower color and why?
Purple! I’m on the C-section to 5K training program. You have one long off day that lasts for 3 months!
Caffeinated beverage choice? And how often you do you need one?
Diet Coke! Which actually should be called my dirty little secret! Only one a day, but I dream of more!
Travel destination on this earth that’s calling your name?
Napa Valley! Ha, who’s in?
The time of day that I love to run the most is…
Early morning! Dew on the ground, sun just coming up, slight chill in the air…someone’s sprinklers dousing my iPhone Marquette was one of my favorite places to run!
What’s the life lesson you want to pass on to your children?
Be Kind. Be Strong.
First words that come to your mind when you think of crossing a finish line?
I deserved that!!!
