What makes your heart pound?
The thought that at any moment I could go into labor and my entire world will change in an instant……….
What gets you up in the morning? What keeps you up at night?
I have always been an early bird—there is nothing better than a quiet morning, a cup of coffee, a to-do list in the making, and a beautiful sunrise to top it off.
When I was teaching I was usually the first one to school arriving in the dark – loved it. The custodian and I became great friends:)
As far as night goes, I was always the girl to fall asleep first at birthday parties. Ha! I am not sure if that has changed much……
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I love to eat. You name a restaurant, I can tell you what I will order.
Pizza – no lie this girl can eat an entire large. I just throw away the box in the nearest dumpster and pretend it didn’t happen:)
Chips – Jalapeno, Sea Salt and Vinegar, or Original Kettle Chips, Jalapeno Cheetohs
Sweets – Not one to go too crazy on sweets but some plain dark chocolate or a vanilla latte/chai will do the trick.
What do you say to the woman who says she doesn’t think she can run?
Knock it off, let’s go……
What running shoe are you most loyal to?
Mizuno, Mizuno, Mizuno – The Wave Creation 12.
What’s your go-to flower color and why?
Orange – simply because it’s the original and I am a creature of habit.
Caffeinated beverage choice? And how often you do you need one?
I LOVE Coffee – Straight up: Strong, hot, and black. Due to pregnancy, somehow I have managed 1 cup a day. Get me back in the saddle and this chick is drinking it all day long:)
Travel destination on this earth that’s calling your name?
Bora Bora – I love how it sounds:)
Why do you run?
Well of course I love to check it off my to-do list and training calendar….. But for the most part it keeps me grounded, I simply feel better physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I don’t always want to do it and there are many times when I dread it, but it is really in everyone’s best interest if my feet hit the pavement or the gym at some point throughout the day.
The time of day that I love to run the most is…
Bright and Early!
What’s the life lesson you want to pass on to your children?
Happiness is a choice……it is up to you to find it, embrace it, feel deserving of it, and nurture it.
First words that come to your mind when you think of crossing a finish line?
Yes! Yes! Yes!
